Road to Independence
What is Road to Independence: The Department of Children and Families’ Independent Living Transition Services Program provides young adults formerly in foster care with services and financial assistance to help them successfully transition into adulthood. Services generally include assistance with money management skills, education assistance, household management skills, employment preparation and the other services. Clients are given a set of guidelines and stipulations they need to adhere to maintain their status in the program.
