How to Join
If you would like to be part of the FRC team in 2016, register online at the Miami Marathon Website and select “Family Resource Center” in the GROUP AFFILIATION box.

Fundraising Support
Once you have registered for the marathon:

  • Visit
  • Click on “Become A Fundraiser” to set up your own personalized fundraising page.
  • Use the provided email template to send info to your family, friends and colleagues, and post it on the social networking sites you use (Facebook, Twitter, etc). Your contacts can make credit card donations online through your fundraising page or make pledges offline that you can track.

If you need any support or advice about fundraising please don’t hesitate to contact Dorit Matthews at (305) 960-5536. We can make materials available to support your efforts, including flyers that can be distributed in hard copy or electronically as tools to help you make a convincing case to people in your network.

We encourage each of our team members to generate a numeric fundraising goal (of at least $200), and then develop a list of people you are comfortable asking to contribute. Make sure your goal is reasonable given the list of people you plan to approach.

Please note that every member of our team must commit to raising a minimum of $200. Team members are welcome to pay part or all of this amount themselves.  All funds must be submitted to Family Resource Center of South Florida by January 20, 2016.  You may mail checks made out to “Family Resource Center of South Florida” to 155 S. Miami Ave., Suite 400, Miami, FL 33130.
